Please note: our Gallery Café, Gallery Shop & Angear Visitor Centre will be CLOSED on Tuesday 6 & Wednesday 7, Tuesday 13 & Wednesday 14, Tuesday 20-Friday 23 January, as we prepare for our new exhibitions. Our Museum is open as normal. The Djanogly Gallery will re-open on Saturday 24 January with our new Andy Warhol: Pop Icon exhibition.

The University of Nottingham Philharmonia is a fantastic orchestra made up of staff, students and alumni from the University of Nottingham.
If you play an orchestral instrument and are a student, current staff member or alumnus of the University of Nottingham you are welcome to audition for University Philharmonia. Auditions take place at the beginning of the academic year.
Each term, the Philharmonia performs a public concert in venues on the University Park campus or in Nottingham city. The orchestra plays exciting and challenging repertoire and is professionally led by Harry Lai. Student soloists and world-renowned guest artists including Xuefei Yang, Natalie Clein and the Amatis Trio have performed with the orchestra.

Anyone who is a student, current staff member or alumnus of the University of Nottingham can audition for University Philharmonia.
Rehearsals will take place on a weekly basis, on Tuesday evenings, 6.30-9pm (from Tuesday 7 October, until Tuesday 9 December), in the Rehearsal Hall at the Department of Music, University Park.
The first concert will be on Saturday 29 November.
We suggest you are able to perform at approximately minimum grade 8 ABRSM or equivalent.
Students – £20 per term + £10 music hire deposit
Non-students – £45 per term + £10 music hire deposit
