Student Co-Productions

Lakeside Arts has a long history of collaborating with the Nottingham New Theatre – the only student-run theatre in the UK – to put on professional productions in our Djanogly Theatre. 

With the help of Lakeside’s expert staff, students get chance to experience professional tech, marketing, and producing. Each production has a full cast of student actors, led by leading local directors.  

For every production, students also have the opportunity to be Assistant Director, Assistant Stage Manager, Marketing Assistant, and Technical Assistant. Developing their skills for a future in the arts.  

In collaboration with Nottingham Trent University, each production’s fantastic set and costumes are designed and created by Design for Stage and Screen (BA) students. Many of these students have gone on to become professional set and costume designers for major productions.
