This is an outdoor screening, presented by Broadway at Lakeside.

The greatest concert film of all time, Stop Making Sense brings to the screen Talking Heads at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December 1983: David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, alongside an ecstatic ensemble of supporting musicians. Renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs) captures the band at their exhilarating best, in this new and complete restoration for the film’s 40th anniversary.

Entry is from 7.30pm. Each screening will begin after sunset, as soon as it is dark enough to screen the film – we anticipate Stop Making Sense will begin at approx. 8.10pm.

Please note:

  • Seating will not be provided, so please bring camping chairs or picnic blankets to sit on.
  • Tickets are non-refundable, apart from in the unlikely event of event cancellation. Please arrive prepared for all likely weather conditions.
