Aimed at anyone who wants to share their stories of shopping or working in-store at Boots, this session will offer a space for conversation over a cup of tea. Archive materials will be on hand to spark memories and inspire storytelling.
Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. Refreshments will be available.
Talking Shop workshops will capture stories that help historians at the University of Nottingham develop their research into the history of shopping. We may wish to record conversations to help with this research with your permission. All recorded material will be anonymised.
The Counter Culture exhibition is part of a wider research project called Chemists to the Nation, Pharmacy to the World: Exploring the Global Dimensions of British Healthcare and Beauty with Boots the Chemists, 1919-1980 which is supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
