The University Chamber Choir is an auditioned choir of talented individuals who perform under the direction of professional conductor Calum Fraser.
The chamber choir is usually made up of around 32 singers. It tackles some specifically written and challenging repertoire. The chamber choir perform alongside University Choir, and University Philharmonia as well as performing concerts of its own.
Please note, Chamber Choir members are also required to join University Choir, the non-auditioned staff and student choir.
If you perform at approximately grade 8 ABRSM level and would like to join the University Chamber Choir please sign up at the Mussoc stand at Freshers’ Fair during Welcome Week, or below, for a short audition.
All rehearsal schedules and upcoming concerts will be listed below.
Every year, we hire Music Trainees to learn the ins and outs of organising concerts for the Choir and Chamber Choir. Trainees will be involved in marketing, organising rehearsals, sorting music, and other admin tasks around the large student concerts we put on.
