The University of Nottingham Choir is the largest choir at the University. It is made up of students and staff from the University of Nottingham.
Performing pieces from Rossini to Finzi, the choir is a great opportunity to experience singing in a large-scale choir, professionally led by director Calum Fraser. Open to all staff and students who can read music and love singing.
Information about when auditions are, rehearsal schedules, and how to buy your membership, will appear below.
Every year, we hire Music Trainees to learn the ins and outs of organising concerts for the Choir. Trainees will be involved in marketing, organising rehearsals, sorting music, and other admin tasks around the large student concerts we put on.
All information on current traineeship vacancies will appear below. If you would like any more information, please contact our head of music at catherine.hocking@nottingham.ac.uk
Anyone who is a staff member or student at the University of Nottingham, and can read music, can join the choir.
Rehearsals are weekly on Tuesday evenings 6.30pm-8.45pm during term-time in the Djanogly Rehearsal Hall.
You do not need to audition to join the choir, but you do need to be able to read music to participate.
